Itinerary
Day 1: Ascent to Aleixo, bathing in the river and Mirante do Pati - Duration: 5 hours | Distance: 12 km
The first day of our itinerary begins in the village of Guiné, where we will start the trail along the ascent of Aleixo. The climb can be challenging, with a steep incline taking around 1 hour, but the breathtaking view from the lookout makes it all worth it. From up there, we can see a panoramic view that stretches to the horizon.
Then we will head towards the Mirante do Pati crossing the Geraes do Rio Preto with the right to bathe in the river on the way. After enjoying the Mirante do Pati, one of the most beautiful views of the route, we will continue our walk towards Rampa. The steep descent down the slope can be a little difficult, but it's worth it for the spectacular view of the valley.
At the end of the day we will spend the night at the house of natives where we will spend the night in a warm and familiar environment. There, we will be able to enjoy delicious food and learn a little more about the culture and history of the region.

Day 2 - The majestic Funis Waterfall and the top of Morro do Castelo - Duration: 7h | Distance: 8 km
On the second day, the trail continues to the majestic Funis Waterfall and the top of Morro do Castelo, one of the highest points in the Pati Valley. It will be about two hours of steep walking until we reach the top of the hill, at the entrance to the castle cave. We will cross the cave until we come out on the other side where we will have a breathtaking panoramic view. Descending from Morro do Castelo, we continue our walk until we reach the stunning Cachoeira do Funis, with its crystalline waters falling into an emerald green water well.

Day 3 - Calixto Waterfall - Duration: 7h | Distance: 12km
On our third day, we will walk through the Lapinha river valley to the stunning Calixto waterfall.

Day 4 - Cachoeirão below and Poço da Árvore - Duration: 7h | Distance: 11km
On our fourth day, we will visit the Tree well (poço da árvore) and leave our backpacks at the support house. The tree well is an amazing wild location, where we visit 2 large rivers sorrunded by deep forest. After it we head towards the Cachoeirão valley. At the end of this Valley we will enjoy 2 bath spots, the second under the Cachoeirao waters.

Day 5 - Cachoeirao Canyon and sunset at Aleixo - Duration: 8h | Distance: 20km
We will depart early on the third day right after breakfast. We will start with a steep climb that will pass through the arrodeio where we will return to the trail towards the waterfall. Considered by many to be the most beautiful canyon in Chapada Diamantina, it is undoubtedly atrue spectacle of nature. With its almost 260 meters high, in times of rain the canyon walls overflow in a formation of more than 20 waterfalls, making the panorama even more fascinating.
After enjoying the view, it's time to say goodbye to the Pati Valley and return to the village of Guinea. Upon arriving at the Aleixo viewpoint, you can reflect on the adventures experienced in the last three days while enjoying a beautiful sunset. Soon after, we will end our adventure making the descent to meet our transport.

*The following itinerary may change due to unexpected weather conditions or any factor that the guide deems dangerous for the integrity of the group.
Tour Value:
Itineraries that are already scheduled:
To guarantee the quality of the experience and safety, we work with a ratio of 1 guide for up to 4 people . Therefore, when larger groups are formed, we hire another support guide. This is an international benchmark for quality and safety . We want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy moments of intimacy with nature and the tranquility that only adequate safety provides.
5-day trek: R$ 2,840 per person
Itineraries outside of scheduled dates:
If your desired date is not currently available, we can offer an option on a date of your choosing. We will then seek other interested parties to form a group, and the price will be determined based on the number of confirmed participants by the itinerary date, considering the type of itinerary (3, 4, or 5 days).
Group of 4 people: R$ 2,840 per person
Group of 3 people: R$ 3,000 per person
Group of 2 people: R$ 3,150 per person
1 person ( exclusive guide) : R$ 3,800
In all cases, if other people join the group, the value automatically adjusts to the lowest possible value.
We at Chapada Velha strive to offer the best possible experience, and for that, a balanced group of people is essential. Years of experience have shown that very large groups compromise the quality of the tour, impoverish the relationship with the guide, and make it more difficult to appreciate the local flora and fauna.
