Chapada velha

In Vale do Capão there is no local cell phone or internet reception. In the village there are two internet providers and almost all establishments have wi-fi; in restaurants, bars and inns you can ask for access. Residents have seen the internet emerge much more slowly than in many localities and are well aware of how important it is to everyone. Recently, a public wi-fi access signal was opened in the center of the village. Its reach is limited to the surroundings of the square and the bandstand.

Local shops open around9:00 amMonday to Friday morning, but normally closed between12:00 and 16:00, with the exception of bars, restaurants and other establishments with individual opening hours.
