From Salvador — by bus and van

Real Expresso runs daily lines from Salvador to Palmeiras (450 km), departing at 8am (arr. ~2:45pm), 1pm (~8:45pm) and 11pm (~6:10am). From Palmeiras to the Vale do Capão (22 km), vans run (low season) at 6:10am, noon, 2pm and 5pm — in high season there are often vans waiting for the buses at any time. The ride takes 40 min to 1h, leaving from the bus station or the “Paladar” snack bar.

By car

About 475 km: BR-324 to Feira de Santana, then the ring road to BR-116, BA-052 (90 km to Ipirá), BA-233 (70 km to Itaberaba), BR-242 (160 km to Palmeiras) and finally 22 km of dirt road to the Vale do Capão.

By plane

Latam, Gol and Azul fly to Coronel Horácio de Matos airport (Tanquinho), 24 km from Lençóis. You'll need a transfer to Lençóis (24 km) or the Vale do Capão (70 km).
