Who we are
Chapada Velha is a hiking agency with local guides, based in Rua Encantada, Catete-Açu, Vale do Capão — Palmeiras, Bahia, CEP 46.940-000. This policy explains in plain language which personal data we handle on this site and why, under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018).
What we collect and why
- Booking and contact forms: name, e-mail, phone/WhatsApp, desired date, number of people, notes and messages. We use them to reply to you and organize your booking.
- AI trip assistant: what you type in the chat is sent to an AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate replies. What you type may also be forwarded to our team so we can follow up. Please avoid sharing sensitive data in the chat.
- Origin of your visit: UTM parameters, the site you came from, the landing page and ad click identifiers are saved with your booking or message so we know which channel works.
- Anonymous visit counter: we count page views and visits without cookies and without storing personal data.
Marketing and measurement cookies (only with your consent)
Only if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner do we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Analytics. When a form is sent, your e-mail, phone and name are sent to Meta in encrypted (hashed) form through the Conversions API, so we can measure and improve our ads. If you refuse, the site keeps working fully.
Who we share data with
- Site hosting: Railway.
- Database: Neon.
- Images and videos: Cloudinary.
- E-mail: Google (Gmail).
- Meta and Google: only if you accept cookies.
- DeepSeek: to power the trip assistant.
No payment is made on the site; the booking deposit is arranged directly with our team. We do not sell your data.
Legal bases
- Performance of a contract and preliminary procedures: to handle bookings and contact requests.
- Consent: for marketing and measurement cookies.
- Legitimate interest: for anonymous counting and visit origin.
How long we keep data
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
Your rights
